This place usually offers a solid dining experience when you know what to order. I have found the best thing to get is the pizza. Issues arise from this place's history, IE a few of the Italian dishes likely haven't changed since its founding when average food was a tad more mainstream and acceptable. Nowadays there are options when dining out. Still I enjoy eating here from time to time.
This has been a friends family favorite since they moved to St Charles over 30 years ago. This was the first restaurant they ate at and have had many family life events celebrated here. The food is spectacular and atmosphere warm and inviting. My family has enjoyed Pio's every time we visit St Charles as well when we visit from Kansas City area where we live.
Stopped in for a quick lunch. Seated immediately, very pleasant and attentive waitstaff. Pork tenderloin sandwich was delicious, as was the clam chowder.
This place is suppose be known for their prime rib. The smell turn me off, the taste made me need down some water an bread an almost choke. Would love hear what Chef Ramsey thinks about the food. Waitresses was nice enough so only reason getting 2 stars instead of one.
The staff is very friendly and attentive while the interior is very old fashioned and cozy. Their food is well prepared i ordered stuffed mushrooms and chicken alfredo with a dinner salad. The portion sizes were great leaving me with enough for another meal for the next day.
