I've been a member of IHG for about a year. Thought it was going to be great. First stay they acknowledged me as a member and upgraded my room to a suite.
Great check in(Oct 13, 2017), after checking into the room the front desk personal (Stacy) gave a courtesy call to assure room was comfortable and to my liking. Stacy exhibits the Holiday Inn Express motto "Pleasing people the world over". Thank you Holiday Inn Express and Ms. Stacy for continued customer service.
There was intermittent hot water during our weekend stay and the fire alarm went off 3 times in the middle of the night due to system errors. Front staff just left in the middle of the night after the fire alarms due to stress. Was not too happy with this hotel, but I gave them 2 stars based on the fact that it was new and undergoing repairs.
I received an e-mail and they said "stay with us in the next month and we'll triple your points for that stay"...FAT CHANCE that didn't happen.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Crib included for the wee one.
The next three times I stayed they didn't even say anything about my membership...go figure!
Now when I get a good rate on a room and go to log in it won't let me and when I call to ask why they say that rate is a special we offer certain other companies to attract business. But you're not eligible...,.does that make sense or what?
We have enjoyed our stay at the Holiday inn Express in St Charles, MO very much. It was nice and clean and the beds were so comfortable.
My question is why should I even be a member?
